Red Rock Biofuels Finds Funding
Fort Collins-based Red Rock Biofuels, a developer of biofuels technology, said this week that it has raised a Series A funding round. The funding came from Flagship Ventures. Size of the funding was not disclosed. Brian Baynes of Flagship Ventures joins the company's board of directors. Red Rock Biofuels is developing technology to transform waste biomass from sawmills and forests, and convert that into jet, diesel and naphtha fuels. The company is hoping to build a commercial scale refinery in Oregon to demonstrate its technology.
