Conspire Opens Up Email Networking Service
Boulder-based Conspire, which operates a professional networking site which leverages a user's existing email account, said today that it has opened up its service to anyone with an IMAP-supported email account. The company--which previously only supported Gmail and Google Apps email--says its crowd-sourced professional network analyzes a user's email headers, including the To, From, CC, Subject, and Date fields in email to create a virtual network of users. The service also allows for the "crowd sourcing" of networking data by other people, allowing your contacts to add work history, photos, and more for any contact. The company originally came out of TechStars Cloud, but is now based in Boulder. TechStars' David Cohen is on the company's board.
