GoDaddy Dangles $1 Offer To Small Businesses
In a unique offer to help get small businesses online, GoDaddy, the Internet domain name and services provider based in Scottsdale, Arizona, rolled out a bargain offer to small businesses yesterday: $1 a month for a new domain name, website, and email. According to GoDaddy, it will offer up custom domain name, a subscription to web hosting and the company's website builder, and Microsoft Office 365 email and calendaring, as well as $50 in Bing Ads credit to those users. The firm is looking to convince what is says are more than half of the small businesses out there who do not have even a website or email. The combination of services normally cost businesses $11.99 a month. The combined offer makes the cost of complete web hosting less than the typical cost of a new domain name for one year. GoDaddy said it is partnering with Microsoft on the promotion.
