Phoenix-based
Sleepover Rover, a provider of dog boarding services which links dog-loving retirees, stay-at-home parents, and professionals working from home offices and dog owners needing care, has been acquired by
Rover.com, the companies said today. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Rover.com operates an online marketplace which connects dog owners with dog sitters. As part of the acquisition, Rover.com said it will launch a new service called Rover Premier, starting in Denver, which will connect owners with sitters who have undergone an "enhanced" interview process, including a professional inspection of a sitter's home and yard.
