In a significant move, Boulder-based wireless networking technology developer
FreeWave Technologies has made an executive shift, saying it has appointed Kim Niederman as its new CEO. Niederman takes the helm from Freewave co-founder Steve Wulchin, who has become President of the company. Wulchin co-founded FreeWave more than 20 years ago and has headed up the company since its early beginnings. Niederman was most recently president of 8x8, and also has served at companies such as Cisco Systems, Polycom, FORE Systems, and others. FreeWave says that Wulchin will continue to play a "significant role" at the company, with a focus on overseeing FreeWave's penetration into existing and new international markets.
