Salt Lake City-based LANDESK announced this morning that it has acquired Israeli software firm LetMobile, which develops "application wrapping" technology used for securing email, content, and apps. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. LANDESK said it will use the buy to extend its security from mobile devices to the content and applications running on those platforms. LetMobile's security software helps enterprises secure their apps and data, even when user are using their own devices (BYOD). LANDESK also said the buy would help bolster its R&D resources with a center in Israel.
