Boulder-based venture investor
Foundry Group said over the weekend that it has backed
ARTtwo50, company which develops an app and business which allows users to purchase custom art -- specifically geared towards your home, office, or other space -- for only $250, directly from the artist. The investment, worth $285,000, comes from Foundry's AngelList FG Angels effort, which allows individual angels to invest side by side in investments from the Foundry Group. ARTtwo50's marketplace gives users original art from an emerging artist, starting at $250, custom designed for a person's space, locations, and demographics. The investment is the third by Foundry through FG Angels; the last was in
Promptly, another mobile software company.
