Primary Data, the stealthy developer of software-defined data center technology, has upped its Series B funding to $60M, according to one of its investors. According to Mercato Partners, Primary Data has increased the size of its Series B funding round to $60M, with participation from Mercato and other investors, including
Accel Partners, Battery Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Pelion Venture Partners. Primary Data is led by former Fusion-io founders David Flynn and Rick White. The company says it plans to unveil its first products sometime this spring, in the area of software for managing enterprise, unstructured data. Primary Data has the
first close on its Series B last year.
