Jigabot Targets Extreme Sports Enthusiasts With Robotic Camera System
What could be any better than a GoPro for extreme sports enthusiasts? How about a GoPro mounted on a robotic camera system, which tracks your every move? A Highland, Utah-absed startup, Jigabot, said it is launching a new robotic camera, which automatically tracks and frames users through action sports, by using a wearable tracking sensor. The company said its systems aim, track, pan, and tilt cameras as a user moves -- perfect for extreme sports, recreation, and even everyday home videos. The company--headed by Rick Stout--said it is showing off a preview of its devices at the upcoming Outdoor Retailers show, and that the robotic device will ship in June for $299.
