GoDaddy said today that it is launching a new, web hosting platform specifically aimed at optimizing WordPress deployments. According to GoDaddy, the company will handle the technical details of managing accounts based on the popular blogging and website creation software, including handling security, daily backups, and performance optimization. Pricing on the new offering was not announced. GoDaddy said that it already hosts 2 million WordPress websites, however, those sites are not yet using the new service.
