Denver-based Rivet Software, the developer of XBRL financial filings software, said today that it has just reached 10,000 filings with its product, which it says is more than any other vendor has accomplished. XBRL is a machine-readable format being mandated for financial filings by the SEC, which makes it easier to process and digest financial data from public companies. Rivet Software has been in a major restructuring following the sudden death of its founder last year and major layoffs; the company is now being led by new CEO Madelaine Rohan. In a statement, Rohan said the company is in a "re-birth of sorts and a new era".
