IO Opens Research and Development Division In San Francisco
PHoenix-based data center technology developer and operator IO said today that it has opened up a new, research and development division in San Francisco. According to IO, the new IO.Applied Intelligence division will be led by PAtrick Flynn, and will use data mining, visualization, predictive modeling, and simluation to improve things like cooling, power usage, space within its data center environments. IO said the new group will create such services as bill forecasting, capacity management and simulation, and will make product recommendations to IO's hardware and software development teams.
