Ascent Solar Debuts Solar Backpack
Thornton, Colorado-based flexible solar panel developer Ascent Solar is expanding out its line of retail products, saying today that it has released a solar-integrated backpack, the EnerPlex Packr. The company--which branched out into retail products last year in a major move away from technology licensing--said the new product includes a 3 watt, flexible solar panel, which can power any USB powered smartphone or small electronics device. Enerplex said the new device is available at its retail stores in Denver, as well as online, where the product is listed for $99.99.
