Cymphonix, the developer of network security and traffic management products, has been acquired by Silicon Valley-based
Untangle. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Untangle, the acquisition will enhance its bandwidth management and application control offerings, and also provide it access to larger businesses and schools. Cymphonix was founded in 2004, and was venture backed by Intel Capital, Prospector Equity Capital, and
vSpring Capital.
