IHS Executive Heads Up Colorado Flood Recovery Effort
Jerre Stead, the Executive Chairman of IT and business consulting giant IHS, it taking the lead in Colorado's flood recovery efforts, and has been headed Chief Recovery Officer by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper. Hickenlooper announced the appointment Friday, even as the area continues to grapple with the 100 year flooding and disaster along the Front Range. IHS also will provide a number of other staff and employees to assist in the effort. IHS said that Stead will focus on coordinating recovery assessments, advocating for federal funding, establish mechanisms for fundraising, and more. Stead has been Executive Chairman of IHS since December of 2000; he also had served at Ingram Micro. IHS is based in Englewood, Colorado.
