Connextions, which is part of UnitedHealth Group, said this morning that it plans to hire 500 people in Phoenix, over the next 60 days. The company, which is part of Unitedhealth's Optum health services business, said that UnitedHealth already employees approximately 4,600 people in Arizona. The new Phoenix facility for Connextions, which is headquartered in Florida, is the first for the business unit in the city. Connextions helps insurance carriers enroll, retain and provide service to their members, answering questions Medicare and prescription drug benefits to seniors and others.
