Overstock.com Claims Victory In Class Action Lawsuit

announced this morning that it was victorious in a federal, multi-million dollar class action lawsuit, which had been filed against the company in 2009. Overstock.com said that the suit ad been brought by Cynthia Hines, the secretary at a plaintiff's attorney law firm, and over the company's return policy. Overstock.com called the lawsuit an "extortionate lawsuit" and that it "fights like a junkyard dog" against those kinds of lawsuits against the company. "We do not settle cases brought by lawyers just trying to make a few bucks abusing the legal system," according Overstock, in a statement announcing the victory.
