Denver-based Harris Broadcast, the private-equity owned provider of hardware and software for transmitting, creating, and managing broadcast video, has set a new CEO, snagging communications veteran Charlie Vogt as CEO. Harris Broadcast, which was recently acquired by The Gores Group, hired away Vogt from GENBAND. The Gores Group acquired Harris Broadcast in December. Harris said that Vogt is a 25-year veteran of the communications and technology industry. GENBAND is a major provider of VoIP and related telecom equipment.
