Bluffdale, Utah-based data center operator
C7 Data Centers has completed its 65,000 square foot data center at Granite Point, the company said today, and is now aiming at making the data center an alternative to data centers in California, Arizona, and Nevada. C7 Data Centers said the facility includes multiple paths of redundancy, and is located in one of the lowest disaster risk areas of the United States. C7's data center is located in Bluffdale, which is a suburb of Salt Lake City, and also home to the National Security Agency's secretive Utah Data Center. Although C7's Granite Point data center is a healthy size, it is dwarfed by the NSA's reported 1 million to 1.5 million square feet data center nearby.
