Boulder-based amateur sports software provider TeamSnap has picked up fellow online sports site WePlay, the company said this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not announced by the companies. TeamSnap said it has acquired WePlay's technology, and online coaching resources and extensive video content, in addition to customer base, as part of the acquisition. WePlay had raised $15M in funding, and like TeamSnap had focused on providing community services to amateur and youth sports teams. TeamSnap is headed by Dave DuPont; the firm said the buy would further solidify its position in the market.
