Salt Lake City-based
Venafi, which develops digital certificate, cryptography, and other security products, said last week that it has tied into a national effort around cybersecurity. The company said it has partnered with the
National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), created by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The new group--which includes other security firms aside from Venafi--will focus on threats to private-sector intellectual property and other valuable business and federal agency data. Venafi said it would share its cryptographic key and digital certificate management expertise, software, and personnel to the effort.
