Wilson Electronics Extends Warranty Coverage
St. George, Utah-based electronics maker
Wilson Electronics
announced this morning that it has boosted the warranty on its cellular signal boosters to two years, up from the typical one-year warranty provided by companies in the industry. The firm--whose signal boosting equipment is often used in remote areas to boost the connection to far-away cell phone towers--said it has had an unofficial two-year warranty for some time. Manufacturers typically extend their warranty coverage to give consumers an indication of implied quality. Wilson Electronics said the warranty actually extends to all previously purchased products from the company. The firm's boosters are used for many M2M (machine-to-machine) applications.
