Barofold, a developer of protein manufacturing technology for the biopharmaceuticals market, has now raised $1.7M in its latest funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm last week. Details on the funding were not announced. The filing indicates the firm raised around $250,000 in this latest funding, part of a round initially announced in February of 2010. Barofold is targeting its technology for protein therapeutics for bio-pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and government agencies. The firm was founded by Dr. Matt Seefeldt and Matt Brewer.
