David Cohen has scored a nice exit from one of his seed investments today, after navigation technology firm
TeleNav said it was acquiring
ThinkNear, a developer of hyper-local mobile advertising technology. TeleNav said it would pay $22.5M for ThinkNear, which raised a small, $1.6M seed funding round last year from Cohen, along with IA Ventures, Google Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Metamorphic Ventures, Real Ventures, ff Venture Capital, Zelkova Ventures, BoldStart VC, and David Tisch. Tisch is also at TechStars. ThinkNear was based in Los Angeles. Cohen is co-founder of TechStars, the startup accelerator in Boulder which has established itself as one of the lead acceleration programs in the nation for high tech companies.
