IO Raises $90M For Modular Data Centers
Phoenix-based IO, the developer of modular data center technology and services, said today that it has raised a huge, $90M funding round. The round was led by New World Ventures, the Chicago-based venture investment arm of The Pritzker Group. IO said that its existing investors also participated in the round. IO provides modular data center products, making it easier for enterprises, governments, and service providers to deploy data centers. The firm said that its technology provides "significant" operating and capital expense savings, as well as energy conservation for data centers. The investment by New World was the largest single investment ever out of its 15 year history.
