One of the portfolio firms of Boulder-based venture capital investor
Foundry Group is targeting an IPO, according to a post from that company's CEO.
SEOmoz, a developer of search engine optimization tools, is looking towards an IPO as an exit option, according to Rand Fishkin, the firm's CEO. Fishkin did not say when it expects to file for an IPO, but did say that the move is due to the company's backing by institutional venture backers--including Foundry. The last funding round by SEOMoz came from Foundry Group and other venture backers, and Foundry's Brad Feld sits on the company's board. Foundry has had a number of successful exits, with the most notable being the IPO of social games maker Zynga in December of 2011.
