Savvis Buys Parts of Ciber's IT Outsourcing Arm
Greenwood Village, Colorado-based Ciber, the provider of information technology consulting and managed services, is selling parts of its global IT Outsourcing business to Savvis, for $7M in cash plus unspecified earnout, the firms said today. The firms said the deal included "certain assets" of Ciber's global IT outsourcing business, and includes the hiring of approximately 750 people who support that business. Ciber said the move will help it narrow its focus on core offerings and market segments.
