Great Basin Gets FDA 510(K) Approval
Salt Lake City-based Great Basin Corporation, a startup life sciences company developing molecular diagnostic products, announced this morning that it has received FDA 510(k) approval on its first molecular diagnostics test. The firm said it receive the approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for its test for Clostridium difficile (C. diff), a common hospital acquired infection. Great Basin did not say how long it expects to make its products available to the market.
