NewsGator In Alliance With Electronic Discovery Firm
Denver-based NewsGator said today that it has linked with electronic discovery software provider StoredIQ. The two firms said they are in a strategic alliance, which will provide ediscovery, records, and storage management to users of NewsGator's Social Sites product. Financial details of the link were not disclosed. NewsGator's product provides social features to Microsoft's SharePoint portal product, allowing users to interact on enterprise systems much like they do on social networking sites like Facebook. The two said the link will help companies understand and identify risks in all of their data within SharePoint and NewsGator Social Sites, and also handle information retainment issues and corporate governance and regulatory mandates.
