Provo- and Tel Aviv-based
MyHeritage, the online family tree and genealogy website, said this morning that it has bolstered its operations in Provo, adding Russ Wilding as Chief Content Officer, and Roger Bell as its VP of Product. Wilding was previously CEO of iArchives, and founded Footnote.com. Bell was also previously at Footnote.com, serving as Senior VP Product and Development, and also served at Ancestry.com. The firm said the move would boost its U.S. operations, with the two focusing on adding historical content and rolling-out an extensive global crowdsourcing project. MyHeritage has been aggressively looking to tap into the talent base in Utah, having acquired FamilyLink Inc. in November. Both Wilding and Bell were at competitor Ancestry.com, which had acquired Footnote.com in 2010.
