EMC To Hire 500 In Utah
Computer storage giant EMC has big plans in Utah, and is getting set to employ around 500 people in Draper at its new data center. According to EMC, in a grand opening of its technical support center Wednesday, it is expecting to eventually employ around 500 in its customer service efforts at the new center. The center started operating in December. EMC had announced it would open up a new data center in Utah last June. The Salt Lake Tribune reported that EMC President and Chief Operating Officer Howard Elias said the new center will help serve federal agencies and other companies which prefer onshore customer support.
