Longmont, Colorado-based storage systems developer Dot Hill Systems said this morning that it is "realigning" its software development efforts, and cutting its entire Israel Development Center. Dot Hill Systems did not say how many employees are affected by the move. The firm's Israeli operations came to the company via its acquisition of Cloverleaf Communications in January of 2010. Dot Hill said it will incur around $5.5M in charges due to the closing. The firm said it will instead invested in embedded software features in its arrays, instead of the appliance-based or software-based products it had been developing as part of its AssuredUVS products.
