SendGrid Raises $21M
Boulder-based SendGrid said this morning that it has raised $21M in its Series B funding round. The startup, which provides email delivery services to companies, said the funding was led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The funding will go towards "aggressively" accelerating hiring. SendGrid has now raised $26.76M in funding since its graduation from TechStars Boulder in 2009. The company said it has now sent a total of more than 26 billion emails for its clients. SendGrid's software helps companies send transactional web email, dealing with delivery issues and email infrastructure issues.
