Balihoo, the developer of local marketing automation technology, said today that it has raised $5M in new funding for the company's growth plans. The company, which is headed by Pete Gompert, said the round was led by OpenView Venture Capital, and also included prior investor Highway 12 Ventures. Balihoo's technology is used for helping national brands manage their local online marketing efforts, including search, PPC, and social media advertising. OpenView's Scott Maxwell and George Roberts joins the company's board, alongside Mark Solon of Highway 12, Sanford Keziah of investor Lacuna LLC, anothers.
