StillSecure Rolls Zero-Day Mitigation
Superior, Colorado-based StillSecure, the provider of network security and compliance software, said today that it has rolled out a new, zero-day attack mitigation product, aimed at its commercial and federal customers. The upgraded version of its Safe Access network access control (NAC) product helps identify compromised devices and remove them from a network, by automatically monitoring specific application or files for changes. Zero-day attacks are those hacking attempts which take advantage of un-patched and undisclosed issues in software, and are a particular problem for companies due to the lag between how hackers are taking advantage of those problems and ability of software to detect and mitigate those issues. StillSecure said the new functionality is available now with Windows, and will be available for OS X starting in the first quarter.
