OpenLogic Debuts New Platform-as-a-Service
Broomfield, Colorado-based OpenLogic, the developer of open source software support services for enterprises which is venture backed by Pelion Venture Partners, Red Rock Ventures, Appian Ventures, OnCorps, Highway 12 Ventures and Village Ventures, said Thursday that it has launched a new, Platform-as-a-Service offering. The firm said its CloudSwing PaaS product offers up a customized set of open stack tools deployed in the cloud. The new PaaS offering runs on Amazon, Rackspace, and other cloud infrastructure providers, and allows customers to pick their own set of open source components and open source stacks for deployment. OpenLogic said the new PaaS offerings start at $30 a month, up to $700 a month for an enterprise; there is also a free plan with 30 hours of time on Amazon and Rackspace.
