OpenLogic Spins Open Source Code Tool
Broomfield, Colorado-based
OpenLogic
said today that it has released a new product which helps companies uncover where code is coming from within open source projects. The firm--whose products are used by companies to audit and determine risk from using open source software--said its OLEX Enterprise Edition will quickly help companies figure out the provenance of code they are using in open source projects, and identify code or components which might have originated elsewhere. OpenLogic's products are used by companies who are wary of the legal terms and licenses of certain open source projects, who want to better control their use of specific software packages.
