Standing Cloud, the provider of platform-as-a-service (PaaS), cloud software headed by Dave Jilk, said today with cloud server firm
CloudSigma, that the two have partnered to simplify deploying and managing cloud-hosted applications. CloudSigma will use Standing Cloud to power a infrastructure-as-a-service offering, providing software like WordPress, SugarCRM, DotProject, OpenBravo, languages like PHP, Java, Ruby on Rails, and Python, as well as apps like Jenkins and Bugzilla in the cloud. Standing Cloud's software is used to easily deploy cloud-based applications. The firm is backed by Foundry Group and Avalon Ventures. CloudSigma is based in Switzerland.
