Fusion-io was up 18 percent in its IPO Thursday, after pricing at $19.00. The firm closed its first day on the NYSE, trading as FIO, at $22.50 a share. Fusion-io had estimated its IPO pricing at between $16.00 to $18.00 a share. Fusion-io traded as high as $29.65 during its first day. The firm was slightly up Friday in morning trading, at around $23.90 per share. Fusion-io was backed by Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz Fund, Dell Ventures, Lightspeed Ventures, Meritech Capital, New Enterprise Associates, Samsung, Sumitomo, and Triangle Peak Partners.
