Scottsdale, Arizona-based
iGo, a developer of electronic device chargers and mobile accessories, and Boulder, Colorado-based
PureEnergy Solutions have linked up their efforts in the rechargeable battery market. The two said that iGo will be the exclusive marketer and distributor of patented, rechargeable alkaline batteries from PureEnergy. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. iGo said the deal does not include China, and that distribution in Africa will be non-exclusive. iGo also said it has entered into a deal with Premier Tech Home & Garden to take over distribution rights in Canada. iGo will sell PureEnergy's rechargeables under its iGo Green brand. The deal includes ongoing royalties to PureEnergy, and will last for five years, with options to extend to 15 years.
