Grow Utah Ventures, the Utah-based organization that has been running business plan competitions to help spur entrepreneurs in the state, said this morning that it has launched its third, general technology '
Concept to Company' contest. The new contest, like previous contests, will award $20,000 in cash and business services to the grand prize winner, and $10,000 each to two runners-up. According to Grow Utah, the new competition has a deadline of April 15th, and is focused on companies in Southern Utah. Grow Utah reports is has now awarded $400,000 in prize money and services via its competitions. The new effort is co-sponsored by SEED Dixie and Zions Bank; SEED Dixie is an economic development effort of Utah's Washington County Economic Development Council.
