Broomfield, Colorado-based Aircell, the provider of in-flight wireless connectivity, said today that it has extended its Gogo Biz Inflight Internet service to business aircraft operating in Alaska. The firm said the new coverage is included in its existing service plans. Aircell's Gogo Biz provides business aviation operators with wireless Internet service. Aircell also gate an update on Canadian coverage, saying it is continuing discussions between Aircell and the holder of the Canadian air-to-ground (ATG) license, looking to also extend the service to Canada. The firm said it does not have any timetables or details on those efforts. Taking advantage of widespread marketing of its inflight services for commercial airlines, Gogo, Aircell renamed its business Internet to Gogo Biz in August. Aircell added Alaska coverage to its commercial airlines service on Alaska Airlines in October.
