OtterBox Launches Charity Effort
Fort Collins, Colorado-based OtterBox, which manufactures protective cases for electronics and other products, said Friday that it has launched a nonprofit foundation called the OtterCares Foundation. The firm said it has given each of its employees a $200 grant certificate to give to the charity of their choice, with 73 local and national organizations getting donations as part of the initiative. The firm said it has donated approximately $72,000 to those organizations as of November 4th. According to OtterCares, the effort was the vision of founder Nancy Richardson, who wanted to create "something that had a lasting positive impact" on the community and employees.
