Boulder-based Freewave Technologies, which manufactures spread spectrum and other radios for remote data transmission, said today that it has named Ashish Sharma as the firm's Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager of PRoducts. Sharma joins the firm from Alvarion, where he was VP of Marketing, and also has serveda t Ericsson Wireless Communications and Qualcomm. Freewave also said that Sharma was head of Ericsson's operational team in Salt Lake City, coordinating the firm's operations at 17 Olympic venues. Freewave's radios are used for mission critical operations in the oil and gas, military, utility, industrial, and other areas.
