OPXBIO Recognized By NREL
Boulder-based OPX Biotechnologies, a firm developing renewable biochemicals and biofuels, said today that it has been recognized with an Outstanding Venture Award by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), at NREL's 23rd Industry Growth Forum. The firm said it was one of three companies selected out of 34 for the award, and that it will receive $5,000 in cash plus in-kind commercialization services from NREL and law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. OPXBIO is headed by Charles R. (Chas) Eggert. The firm is backed by Mohr Davidow Ventures, Braemar Energy Ventures, Altira Group, and X/Seed Capital.
