GutCheck, a provider of do-it-yourself, online market research services, has raised $2M, the firm said this morning. The funding came from Highway 12 Ventures, Village Ventures, iModerate Research Technologies, and Benenson Strategy Group, along with individuals. GutCheck allows marketers to create their own survey panels based on demographic information, and to collect data from online chat sessions. GutCheck said the funding will go towards growing sales and marketing initiatives and to grow its available panel. GutCheck was co-founded and is headed by Matt Warta. As part of the funding, George Mulhern of Highway 12 joins the company's board.
