Rogue Wave Software, a developer of cross platform, embedded software development tools, announced this morning tha tit has acquired
Acumem, a developer of memory optimization software. Acumem is based in Sweden. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Rogue Wave, Acumem's CTO and founder, Professor Erik Hagersten, will join the firm along with his entire team. That team will continue to operate in Sweden. Acumem's products analyze memory bandwidth, thread communications, and other characteristics of software to help pinpoint performance issues in embedded software. Rogue Wave is backed by Battery Ventures.
