UQM Technologies Wins Auto Firm
Frederick, Colorado-based UQM Technologies, a manufacturer of high efficiency electric motors and related products, said today that it has scored an order for fifty of its PowerPhase electric propulsion systems for an "established" international automobile manufacturer. The firm said the systems are part of a fleet build and vehicle development effort by the un-named manufacturer. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. UQM said it has been in discussions with the manufacturer of over six months. UQM said the manufacturer is planning to introduce its vehicle in 2012, and that it has quoted delivery and price for over 25,000 of its systems.
