Zayo Closes AGL Networks Acquisition

said Thursday afternoon it has closed on its acquisition of
AGL Networks
, a provider of dark fiber bandwidth in Atlanta, Phoenix and Charlotte. The firm said the acquisition adds approximately 850 route miles of fiber and 270 buildings to its network. Zayo said AGL adds around $17M in annualized recurring revenue to the firm, and $165M in total contracts to the firm. Zayo oroginally announced the acquisition of AGL in March. Zayo has been aggressively acquiring bandwidth provider, saying just Wednesday that it is acquiring American Fiber Systems, its 15th acquisition since 2007.
