, a firm conducting research, development, and commercialization of technology, said today that it has received $100,000 in a contract with the U.S. Air Force. The firm said the contract covers Phase I research into developing advanced lithium-ion batteries for military space satellite applications. the firm said the research will center on new battery nanomaterial technology to optimize the cycle life of Li-ion batteries. ADA said its energy storage research program has now received more than $2M in research and early stage product funding, since its beginning in 2005.
